You can gain muscle and lose fat when you are aged!

I am 40 plus, how can I accomplish muscle gain and fat loss? You should accomplish muscle gain and fat loss in the same way as you do in your 20s and 30s. Muscle gain and fat loss depends more on the basic principles of exercise and diet than your age. Of course, with age, our bodily processes become a little slow.

But if you start weight training step by step with proper understanding and guidance, and follow your diet, then automatically you will have muscle gain and fat loss. Your metabolism will worsen with age. So you have to go in opposite direction actually. You have to do more scientific (not heavy weight) weight training up-taking more lean protein, good amount of complex carbs, good fats and a lots of micro nutrients and trace elements. This will boost your metabolism and immunology. Thus, enhance your strength and help you fight with challenges, complications and diseases coming when you are aged. Also, you have to take at least 8 hours straight sound sleep for muscle recovery which is in higher range of demand when you are aged. Yes, one thing you have to keep in mind is that if you have any medical issue or any injury, then please always start working out under a coach, whether you do it in the gym or you do online training, if you do it through guidance, then your progression will also be good, you will get to learn a lot and you will also be safe from injury. By the way, I myself am 40 plus and the weight I used to hit in my 20s, I still lift 70-80% of that weight.
